Kerry Park Site Work Con’t

We checked back in on the Kerry Park site and were pleased to see that footings and foundation have been set. Once the City receives their signed and notarized copy of the Memorandum of Drainage Control additional site work will continue. Should be framing within the next couple of weeks.

Last week we posted a status update on all the framing that has taken place at the Alki Trails house. We saw the massing from the east elevation and how the house will look when you approach the garage. Today we take a look at the west elevation from the street level. There are three steel beams in place that support the cantilever. All of the views from this side of the house showcase the Puget Sound.

SOLA Demolished

Last week demolition began on the site that will house our SOLA Apartment project. For years the site included a 4-unit apartment complex that began to show its age as 12th Ave and the neighborhood around it started to transform. The new structure will include 23 units and all building methods and finishes will comply with Built Green 4-Star ratings.

Alki Trails Framing

Existing Concrete Cleared

A week ago the site for the Sound House had and existing slab and retaining walls. All of that has been cleared and the site is stabilized. Next week we’ll have some photos of the foundation work.

The existing single family on the Kerry Park site has been demolished. The excavator has already gotten in and crews are now on-site putting together the forms for the footings.

Massive Cantilever

Last week we were out on-site at the Lakeridge project checking the framing progress, which is just wrapping up. Great job by Noble Ridge Construction and their crew. The cantilever jutting out to face Lake Washington looks massive from the street.

Not to be outdone by the cantilever is the roof deck with its own set of panoramic views of the Lake. The limited permeable space on site made this outdoor area essential.

SOLA preparing for demolition

We have a demo permit for the existing structure on the site that will soon become the SOLA Apartment project. Temp Fences are up, the mobile mini command center is out back, and it should only be a matter of days before this building at the corner of 12th and Denny on Capitol Hill is retired.

Since I drive by this site daily we’ll have plenty of in-progress photos to track development.
